Hi Larry,

I am always miscalculating how warm it is out! Every time I think it’s hot enough for shorts, I end up shivering, but whenever I throw on a jacket, I’m sweating! What's with the weather?!

Best,

Improperly Dressed

Hi Improperly Dressed,

Try the best of both worlds—wear a short-sleeved shirt under a jacket or sweatshirt and wear loose jeans that you can roll up if it gets too warm! Don’t worry, the unpredictability of spring weather gets to us all. Good luck!

Yours,

Larry

_______

Dear Larry,

It's finals season, but I’m so stressed that I can’t get any work done! Every time I try to sit down and work, I end up wasting all the time thinking about how much I have to do instead of doing any of it! At this point, I don’t know how I’m going to make it through these next few weeks. Help!

SOS,

Doomed Stresser

Dear Stresser,

It’s hard to manage stress when the final couple of weeks start getting to you! Don’t worry, though, you've got this—try to tell yourself that you’ll focus for 5 minutes and see where that goes! Do the little things too, like your laundry or house chores—those small activities will take up space in your head, so get them done! You got this, and make sure to give yourself rest, too.

Good luck,

Larry

Dear Larry,

Is it too much to ask to just be able to relax all summer? With all this finals pressure, I feel like I need summer to be a motivator for me— but it’s going to be all summer programs and work! I need a break.

Help me,

Burnt Out

Dear Burnt Out,

Taking time to recover your energy is important— if you can’t carve out large amounts of time to relax this summer, try and give yourself consistent moments of mindfulness to keep yourself from running out of steam. Take 15 minutes every day, away from all distractions like your phone or coursework, to just let yourself decompress. You got this, make sure to breathe!

Yours,

Larry
