On February 1st, 2026, musicians, producers, and industry leaders gathered at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards. Hosted by comedian and writer Trevor Noah for the sixth and final time, the ceremony celebrated various artists and their  music released between August 2024 and August 2025. The night was filled with record-breaking wins, incredible performances, and history in the making.

The biggest winner of the evening was Kendrick Lamar, who took home five awards, including Record of the Year for “Luther,” featuring SZA, and Best Rap Album for GNX. With these wins, Lamar has become the most-awarded hip-hop artist in Grammy history. His sweep of the rap category marked his second consecutive year as the night’s top winner.

Another major highlight was Bad Bunny’s Album of the Year win for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. This historic victory marked the first time a Spanish-language album received the award. Bad Bunny became the third Latino artist to win Album of the Year, a significant moment for representation at the Grammys. In addition, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas won Song of the Year for “WILDFLOWER,” making them the most-awarded artists in this category. At just 24 years old, Eilish now holds ten Grammy Awards.

The Best New Artist award went to Olivia Dean, making her the ninth woman in a row to receive it. Her win reflected the Grammys’ continued recognition of emerging artists. For the second year in a row, this recognition included a medley from all of the Best New Artist nominees. Additionally, new categories were introduced this year, including Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover, highlighting the Recording Academy’s efforts to keep up with the ever-evolving music industry.

Beyond the awards themselves, the ceremony featured numerous memorable performances and tributes. Several artists honored music legends with tributes to Ozzy Osbourne, D’Angelo, and Roberta Flack. Performances from nominated artists such as Sabrina Carpenter, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, and Tyler, the Creator added to the energy of the evening, along with the aforementioned Best New Artist medley featuring The Marías, Addison Rae, KATSEYE, Alex Warren, Sombr, Olivia Dean, and Lola Young.

Cultural excitement also stirred throughout the night with appearances from Cher, Harry Styles, and Ms. Lauryn Hill. However, the ceremony also carried a strong political presence, as many artists, along with host Trevor Noah, used their time at the microphone to speak out against ongoing oppression and ICE attacks in the country. Moreover, several attendees wore pins protesting the law enforcement organization.

Overall, the 68th Grammy Awards was a beautiful celebration of music and reflection of the cultural moment. Between record-breaking wins, standout performances, and the continued impact of artists using their platforms to speak out, the ceremony demonstrated music’s continuing influence beyond the stage.
