Along with the many other changes occurring in the 2021-22 academic year, the new weekly schedule is one of the most significant. This new schedule comes after a year of the unpopular STAC model.

One of the changes that will have the biggest impact on student life is the later start times on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Under the STAC schedule, some students would begin classes as early 7AM EST (or earlier, depending on their timezone) While the schedule before the STAC modules had classes beginning at 8:55AM - after chapel - the newest schedule has classes which do not begin until 9:35AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This leaves open times to meet with teachers or a chance to get more sleep before classes. In addition to class meetings and assemblies having their own blocks, there is now a dedicated time for ensembles and seminars as well.

Another one of the biggest changes occurs on Mondays. Instead of having a few classes on Mondays, Mondays have an allotted time for every class to meet during the academic day. This will hopefully decrease the pressure that students face on the weekends. Each class will meet three days a week. There will be a short, forty-minute block every Monday, and then one sixty-minute block and one seventy-minute block elsewhere in the week.

With more breaks and later start times, the new weekly schedule is set up to create a better work-life balance.
